About us
The Open Door

Our Purpose
We are excited about starting a church in Baltimore that is based on discerning the times in this world and relating it to Biblical Prophecies. We are focused on the events that are unfolding at this time as to what has been prophesied in the Bible, thousands of years ago!
We are also dedicated to people being set free from oppression and the fears of this life, through the power of God's only Son, Jesus Christ.
Statement of Faith
We believe there is one true God, who is eternal and immutable and exists as God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4, John 1:1, John 10:30, Matt 28:19).
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and infallible Word of God (II Timothy 3:16, Proverbs 30:5).
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:33), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-35), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His substitutionary, atoning death on the cross for our sins (I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9), His bodily resurrection (John 11:25, I Corinthians 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), and His future return to the earth, in to rule for a thousand years (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-13, Revelation 19:14-16).
We believe in the sinfulness of man and that the only means of forgiveness, is through repentance and faith in Christ.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit, is necessary for salvation and that baptism is commanded for all believers and a love for God, the scriptures, and for people.
We believe in the blessed hope and the return of Christ for faithful believers.
We believe the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is given to believers who ask. The presence of the Holy Spirit enables a believer to live a godly life and is evidenced by repentance, and a love for the scriptures and God and people (Acts 2:4, I Corinthians 3:16, Romans 8:13-14, I John 4:16-17).
We believe the Church of Jesus Christ is the local and universal body of believers, and is indwelt by God through the Holy Spirit and divinely empowered to fulfill ministry and the Great Commission on earth (Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28, Ephesians 4:4).
We believe in the blessed hope, the return of Christ for overcoming believers (Titus 2:13, Matthew 25:1-13).
We believe divine healing is available through the work of Christ on the cross (Isaiah 53:5).
We believe marriage is to be a lifelong faithful union between one man and one woman (Matthew 19:4-5).

Street Evangelism and The Prayer Mobile
History of the Prayer Mobile
The Prayer Mobile began in 2002 with Hillary Martisius, Arthur Robins, and a 1953 Cadillac, in Santa Cruz California. After Hillary realized that her ’53 Cadillac was getting vast amounts of interest, Hillary and Arthur began parking it on the main strip with signs saying, “PRAYER MOBILE, FREE ADVICE,” and “DO YOU NEED PRAYER”? A steady stream of individuals would come, in need of salvation, healing and being delivered from vices and addictions.
In 2003, Dave Rizzetto and his wife, Joanne, came to California to visit his high school friend, Arthur Robins, for the first time in thirty years. While there, Dave and Joanne and worked with the PrayerMobile for a brief period. Later that year, Arthur returned to live in NYC, with Dave and Joanne joining him at the new PrayerMobile, now a 1992 Astrovan decked out with hand made benches. The trio (and others) worked together on the PrayerMobile intermittently from 2003 through 2006. Following this, Dave started his own PrayerMobile, first using a minivan and later a 14 seat school bus. Since then, Dave, Joanne, and others have continued reaching out for the lost using the PrayerMobile as a tool to bring people into a relationship with their Creator.
Union Square Park Outreach
The outreach to Union Park began on July 24, 2013.Since that first evening we have been evangelizing at the park; usually every Thursday. The park is a mixture of people into the New Age movement, Hare Krishnas, homeless people, and many lost young people looking for a place to hang out. We have seen a number of people get saved and have seen some of the m come to The Open Door and Times Square Church. At one time the park was a “potter’s field”, used for the burial of the homeless and those who were considered the lost of society. We are continuing to hope and pray as the return of Our Lord draws ever so closely, that we will continue to see many more of the lost that frequent this park come to salvation and be discipled. Please continue to pray for God’s blessing on this outreach.
May God bless you all!
